What Oxagon is

Oxagon takes its name from its octagonal plan, part of which floats out into the Red Sea. The idea is a compact industrial city built around a modern port, where shipping, manufacturing, research and housing sit close together and run on renewable power.

Within the NEOM project, Oxagon has become the priority. NEOM is putting additional investment into the port, utilities and digital connections, and the Red Sea location gives the Kingdom a direct gateway between Asia, Africa and Europe through the Suez Canal.

Why Oxagon matters to investors

Oxagon is where NEOM meets the real economy. For companies in shipping, logistics, renewable energy, hydrogen and data, it offers a new Red Sea base with government backing, renewable power and room to grow. Many projects are partnerships between NEOM and international firms, which is the main entry point for investors today.

Residential and commercial property here will follow the industrial build-out. For buying property in Saudi Arabia now, see our Saudi Arabia Luxury Real Estate and Premium Residency guide, and for the wider picture, Saudi Vision 2030 and the giga-projects.

Seeing the region

Oxagon is a working industrial site and not a visitor destination. Travelers interested in the area can read our NEOM travel guide and stay at the open Red Sea resorts farther down the coast.
