The Middle East Tomorrow
Saudi Vision 2030 is the boldest of the national plans now reshaping the region, and together with the UAE, Qatar and Oman visions it is producing new cities, museums, resorts and Vision 2030 projects on a scale the world has rarely seen.

Region building its future
Begin with the Visions, our overview of the national plans from Morocco to Oman, then go deeper into Saudi Vision 2030 and its giga-projects: the Red Sea resorts, AlUla, Diriyah, Qiddiya and NEOM. The UAE has its own long horizons, from We the UAE 2031 to Dubai's 2040 urban master plan.
For travelers, the most exciting page is amazing things being built, where every landmark carries a clear status. The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is due to open on December 11, 2026; Wynn Al Marjan Island is scheduled for 2027; the MGM, Bellagio and Aria resort in Dubai is guided for 2028; and Disneyland Abu Dhabi and Sphere Abu Dhabi are to be confirmed.

The region is also investing heavily in artificial intelligence, in space and clean energy and in the future of travel: Riyadh Air began commercial flights in June 2026 and Etihad Rail began passenger service the same month. For investors, investing in the future looks at property near the landmarks that are coming.
