Dubai beach vacation

A Dubai beach vacation, club by club

In Dubai, the beach club is where the city slows down. Weekends begin with a late brunch on the sand and run through sunset, with DJs, Mediterranean or Japanese menus and service at your sun lounger. Most clubs sit inside or beside five-star resorts on Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Residence and Jumeirah Beach, and many offer cabanas for families and groups.

Booking ahead is essential from November to April, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. Expect a minimum spend per person on day beds, credited against food and drink. Guests of the host resort often have priority. For the hotels themselves, see Dubai's luxury hotels and our list of the best luxury resorts in the Middle East.

Beach club tips

Beach club tips for American travelers

Reserve a day bed or cabana in advance and confirm the minimum spend, what it includes, and whether children are welcome; some clubs are adults only on weekends. Bring a cover-up for walking through the resort, and remember that photography of other guests is frowned upon.

Alcohol is served at licensed beach clubs in the UAE, Türkiye, Israel, Egypt's resort towns and Morocco. During Ramadan, clubs in the UAE stay open but keep a quieter tone, and music is lowered.

Plan a full coastal trip with Bodrum's luxury resorts, Tel Aviv's beach hotels or El Gouna on the Red Sea, add the finest restaurants, and if the beach life calls you back, explore branded beachfront residences.
