VIP Airport Service in Dubai and Across the Middle East

A good VIP airport service in Dubai, Doha or Riyadh turns a long-haul arrival into a few calm minutes: a host at the aircraft door, fast-track passport control and a chauffeur waiting at the curb. Here is how to arrive privately across the Middle East, from meet-and-assist and private terminals to helicopter transfers.

How a private arrival works

There are three levels. Meet and assist is a host who greets you at the gate or aircraft door, walks you through fast-track immigration and baggage, and hands you to your driver. A VIP terminal or lounge adds a private building or suite where formalities are handled while you wait in comfort. A private jet arrival through an FBO (fixed-base operator) skips the main terminal entirely, with customs often completed in minutes.

First and business class tickets on the Gulf carriers already include much of this: Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways offer chauffeur service in many markets and dedicated premium check-in. See our guide to the best airlines for first and business class, and for flying privately, private jet charter and FBOs and private terminals.

Tips for a smooth arrival

Check visa rules for your passport before you fly; most Gulf states now offer visa on arrival or e-visas for US citizens. Share your flight number with your host, travel with a printout of your hotel booking, and keep a light jacket handy, because terminals are cool.

Once you land, our chauffeur and self-drive guide, helicopter transfers and the finest hotels in each city take it from there. Frequent visitors who are thinking of a second home can start with Dubai luxury property.
