UAE's east coast gateway
The Port of Fujairah is the only multi-purpose seaport on the UAE's eastern coastline, facing the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea rather than the inner Gulf. That position, about 70 nautical miles from the Strait of Hormuz, makes it a natural stop for ships trading between Asia, Africa and Europe, and it has grown into one of the largest bunkering and anchorage hubs in the world.
Operated by the Fujairah Ports Authority under the patronage of the Ruler of Fujairah, the port combines oil terminals and VLCC berths, extensive storage, dry bulk, container and general cargo berths, and passenger and roll-on services. A large community of storage terminals and marine service companies has grown up around it, supporting the emirate's wider ambitions set out in Fujairah 2040.
For visitors, Fujairah pairs mountains with a long, quiet coastline: see Fujairah's luxury resorts and our dedicated Port of Fujairah guide.
