Masar Makkah and Rua Al Madinah: New Districts for Pilgrims

Masar Makkah and Rua Al Madinah are two projects creating new districts for pilgrims beside Islam's holiest mosques, with hotels, homes, shops and walkways. They support Saudi Vision 2030's goal of welcoming many more Umrah visitors each year.

Why these projects matter

Each year millions of Muslims travel to Makkah for Hajj and Umrah, and most also visit the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. Vision 2030 aims to welcome far more Umrah pilgrims each year, and these two projects add hotel rooms, homes and public space within walking distance of the two holy mosques, with care for comfort, accessibility and calm.

Both are part of Saudi Vision 2030 and are designed in respectful styles drawn from the architecture of each city.
