Tomorrow · Türkiye
The Century of Türkiye is the vision launched for the republic's second century, with long-range goals running to 2053. Alongside the country's five-year development plans, it frames Türkiye's investment in airports, rail, technology and tourism, and it shapes the outlook for luxury travel and buying property in Istanbul and on the coast.

Vision in brief
The Century of Türkiye, presented in October 2022 as the republic approached its hundredth anniversary in 2023, sets out a broad agenda for the next hundred years: a stronger economy, advanced technology, sustainable growth and a greater global role. Many long-range targets point to 2053, including the country's net zero commitment.
The detailed plan sits in Türkiye's five-year development plans; the current Twelfth Development Plan covers 2024 to 2028, with goals for growth, exports, technology and tourism. We describe those official goals here. See the national visions of the Middle East for the region.

Foreigners can buy property in most of Türkiye, and qualifying purchases can lead to citizenship by investment.
