Middle East events 2040
For 2040, few organizers have published dates, so this page lists the recurring calendar by month. Events that return every year (or every other year) are labeled Expected; one-off events and anything whose contract or venue is not yet settled are labeled To be confirmed. Ramadan is expected from about September 7 to October 6, with Eid al-Fitr around October 7 and Eid al-Adha around December 14.
Fixed national days are labeled Confirmed. Islamic holidays are approximate and follow the moon. For the full fourteen-year view, see the Middle East events calendar, and for a complete list of holiday dates, holidays and national days.

Biggest events of 2040
A plan year. 2040 is the horizon for Oman Vision 2040, the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Fujairah 2040 plan, so expect new districts, resorts and transport to be open. Egypt has also stated an interest in bidding for the Olympic Games of 2036 or 2040; nothing is decided.
Formula 1 and motorsport. Current Formula 1 agreements in the region run no later than 2036, so Grand Prix weekends for 2040 are listed as To be confirmed until renewals are announced. Our Formula 1 Middle East guide will carry new dates.
The cultural year. Expect the winter art season in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha, summer music in Morocco, and Riyadh Season from October. The best time to visit guide explains the seasons.
