For three days at the end of October, Qatar Luxury Real Estate gathered under one roof. Cityscape Qatar 2026 ran from October 27 to 29 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, with more than 400 live projects from over 70 developers from Qatar and abroad, under the theme "Where Vision Meets Investment." Qatari Diar, Qetaifan Projects and Barwa were the headline sponsors, and a forum alongside the show, organized by the market regulator Aqarat with Informa Tharawat, brought developers, bankers and investors together for panels on financing, returns and new ways to own property, including tokenization.

The market came into the show in good shape. Property sales reached QAR 10.69 billion, about $2.9 billion, in the first half of 2026, according to Ministry of Justice figures cited by the organizers.

Qetaifan Island North

Qetaifan Island North and the Lusail waterfront

The largest commitment of the week came from Lusail. On October 27, Tameer Group and Qetaifan Projects announced that Tameer will acquire additional elevated plots in the southern part of Qetaifan Island North for projects worth more than QAR 1.4 billion, roughly $385 million. The island's master plan combines homes, hotels, shops, leisure and entertainment, and it lies just off the Lusail waterfront described in our Lusail City guide.

Lusail also brought some of the show's most striking designs. JMJ Group Holding presented The Grove, a waterfront residential project with architecture and interiors by Zaha Hadid Architects, offering one- to three-bedroom apartments, three- and four-bedroom penthouses and a 500-meter boulevard of shops and restaurants, with completion targeted for 2030. Shelter Development showed Lusail Marina Heights, with completion planned for May 2027.

At The Pearl, the island community that has long drawn international buyers, United Development Company, master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, featured Perlita Gardens: 150 standalone villas in seven designs. Our guide to The Pearl and Qatar property explains ownership for international buyers.

Barwa presented Barwa Bay, with about 639 homes in two towers above shared podium levels, and signed two memorandums of understanding during the show: one with Doha Bank to provide financing for buyers of homes in selected Barwa projects, and one with Lesha Bank for advice on Barwa's international portfolio. Financing agreements of this kind make it simpler for buyers to plan a purchase.

What it means

What it means for international buyers

For buyers from the United States and elsewhere, the attraction of Qatar lies in a small, well-planned market, a currency pegged to the US dollar and new waterfront districts of real architectural ambition. Qualifying purchases can also open the door to residency; our page on golden visas and residency by investment sets out the options across the region, and our guide to foreign investment in the Middle East gives the wider picture.

If you plan to see the projects in person, combine viewings with a few days in Doha; our Qatar luxury travel guide covers where to stay and what to see.
