One of the most anticipated new five-star hotels in Dubai now has a home. Capella Hotels and Resorts announced on October 29, 2026 that Capella Dubai is planned to open in 2030 on Dubai Peninsula, with 115 keys, pool suites, a rooftop pool and a full wellness floor.

Capella among the new five-star hotels in Dubai

Dubai's list of new five-star hotels in Dubai grew by one exceptional name this week. On October 29, 2026, Capella Hotels and Resorts announced that Capella Dubai will open on Dubai Peninsula, with 2030 given as the planned opening year. The hotel is being developed by H&H, the developer behind Dubai Peninsula itself, and designed by Denniston.

Capella is known for small, highly personal hotels, and Dubai's will follow the pattern: 115 keys in all, with a collection of suites that have their own private pools. At the top sits the Capella Suite, a residence-style retreat of 600 square meters, more than 6,400 square feet.

Dubai Peninsula is a 210-acre waterfront development on the Jumeirah shoreline, at the point where the Dubai Water Canal meets the sea. Its plans include a superyacht marina, about a kilometer of private beach and more than two million square feet of botanical gardens, alongside private residences. It is one of the new luxury developments in Dubai that place a hotel, a marina and homes within one landscaped setting, close to Downtown and the older Jumeirah neighborhoods.

A pool of nearly 70 meters with single and double cabanas, a specialty restaurant and a destination bar.

Five venues in all, including a lobby lounge, The Living Room and a signature restaurant.

The Auriga Spa, with a hammam, a hydrotherapy circuit pool, a co-ed suite, a VIP suite and two biohacking facilities, plus a fitness center and a mind-body studio.

Families

A beach-level family pool and the Little Stars children's club.

Events

A ballroom, two meeting rooms, a VIP majlis and an outdoor event lawn.

The wellness floor deserves a closer look. Capella Wellness is planned to include separate treatment rooms for men and women, grooming services, an outdoor fitness area and a mind-body studio, alongside the spa's hammam and circuit pool, and the two biohacking facilities point to a science-led approach to wellbeing. The ballroom will have its own pre-function lounge, and the VIP majlis gives the hotel a traditional room for private gatherings.

For travelers, Capella Dubai will add a quieter, more intimate choice to a city better known for grand resorts. A hotel of 115 keys, set within gardens on the canal mouth, will feel closer in spirit to a private house than to a resort tower, and the spa, with its hammam and hydrotherapy circuit, is planned as a destination in its own right.
